New Gallup research shows U.S. alcohol use is at its lowest point since 1939 — and more Americans than ever see drinking as bad for their health. According to a brand-new Gallup poll, only 54% of U.S. adults now drink alcohol — that’s the lowest number since Gallup started asking the question back in 1939. Even more surprising? Over half of Americans now think that even “one or two drinks a day” is bad for your health.
