African Coffees

Our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Arricha is a Grade 1 coffee (Ethiopia's highest grade) that is also Natural Processed (i.e sun dried) which produces the fruity, floral profile aromatics natural processed coffees in general are known for. The Yirgacheffee Woreda (District) is found within the Gedeo Zone, but the Yirgacheffe Coffee Growing Area includes surrounding Woredas that exhibit the floral, sweet, and stone-fruity flavor profilecharacteristic of a coffee from Yirgacheffe.

This Ethiopian Sidamo Natural Process (Sun Dried) coffee is a FairTrade African coffee from family-owned farms of the Shanta Golba Cooperative.

Tasting notes are strawberry, pomegranate and jam with above average acidity and body! Enjoy!! As they in Swahili, "Kujivinjari"

This Rwandan coffee comes to Toomer's Coffee Roasters from a group of 975 specialty coffee farmers that are members of the Kibirizi Coffee Washing Station. These specialty coffee farmers manage their farms which are located 1800 – 2500 meters above sea level. The Kibirizi Coffee Washing Station, located in Nyaza, Rwanda, is 325 hectares in size and produces 900 tons of coffee cherries annually.

Our Burka Estates Peaberry is a Full City Roast coffee with a Full Bodied Flavor profile. Grown high altitude (5 - 7000 feet above sea level) near Arusha, Tanzania it is also an SHB (Strictly Hard Bean) coffee which is superior to coffees grown at lower altitudes.
