This Ethiopian Sidamo Natural Process coffee is sourced by our brokers as a Certified USDA Organic and FairTrade African coffee from family-owned farms of the Shanta Golba Cooperative, which is located in the Bensa district. The Shanta Golba Cooperative is part of the Sidamo Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (or SCFCU). SCFCU was formed in 2001 with a mission to support sustainable coffee production from cooperatives in the Sidamo region. SCFCU is made up of more than forty five cooperatives with more than 80,000 producers.
We love our African coffees and this one is a newer favorite. Note: It is also part of our Auburn City Blend coffee, our #1 Best Selling Coffee at Toomer’s Coffee Roasters. This one ticks all the boxes for many of our customers being (sourced) USDA Organic, Fair Trade Certified plus it is Natural Processed (Sun Dried) š
It is grown at a higher altitude of 1850 meters and the seedlings are from Ethiopian Heirloom seeds which is special by itself.
Tasting notes are strawberry, pomegranate and jam with above average acidity and body! Enjoy!!
